The GP100A Motor from ABB is a versatile, lightweight, and efficient solution for general-purpose industrial applications. Constructed with a robust aluminum frame and end-shields, the GP100A series provides a strong, corrosion-resistant alternative to traditional rolled-steel motors—without sacrificing mechanical strength or durability. This makes it especially suitable for installations where weight and handling are critical.

Available in power ratings from 1 to 20 hp (0.75 to 15 kW) and NEMA frame sizes 143T to 256T, the GP100A is designed for flexibility across a variety of applications. Offered in 2, 4, and 6 pole configurations, and voltage options of 230/460V and 575V, this motor series meets a wide range of operational requirements.

The aluminum diagonally split terminal box simplifies wiring, while zinc-plated hardware and epoxy paint deliver enhanced resistance to harsh environments. With Class F insulation, a 1.15 service factor, and a NEMA Class B temperature rise at SF 1.0, the GP100A ensures thermal reliability and consistent performance.

These motors are inverter duty rated per NEMA MG1 Part 31, supporting 20:1 VT and 4:1 CT applications. Fully compliant with NEMA Premium® efficiency standards, the GP100A is ideal for use with both direct-on-line (DOL) systems and variable speed drives (VSDs).
