ABB's high inertia motors are specifically designed for axial fan applications, featuring stall times that exceed start times under normal operating conditions. This allows for safe configuration of relay safety protection systems.

Key Features:

  • Compliance with Standards: Engineered to meet NEMA standards, these motors are available with 6 - 10 poles.
  • Power and Size Range: Covering a power range from 7000 to 18500 HP and frame sizes from 710 to 900. High voltage options are available up to 13.2 kV 60 Hz.
  • Cooling Options: Available with WP-II (IC01), TEWAC (IC81), and IC611 (TEAAC) cooling systems to suit various operational environments.
  • High Inertia Levels: Inertia levels are three times those specified in the NEMA MG-1 chart, enhancing motor stability and performance under fluctuating loads.
  • Service Factor and Insulation: Comes with a service factor (SF) of 1.15 and utilizes Class F insulation to ensure a safe operating temperature rise.

These motors are ideally suited for demanding industrial applications requiring high inertia to handle large air masses efficiently, providing reliable performance in ventilation systems and similar installations.
