The SD100 IEEE841 Motor is an industrial-grade solution developed to exceed IEEE Std. 841 requirements, delivering maximum reliability, energy efficiency, and mechanical durability for demanding applications. Ranging from 1 to 400 horsepower (0.75 to 298 kW), this series is available in NEMA frame sizes 143 to S449, supporting 208-230/460, 230/460, 460, and 575 volts across 2, 4, 6, and 8 pole configurations.

Built with a heavy-duty cast iron frame, the SD100 IEEE841 Motor features IP55 protection as standard, with optional IP66 enclosures for extreme environmental resistance. The motor includes Inpro/Seal® bearing isolators on both ends to eliminate shaft leakage paths and prevent contamination, significantly extending bearing life and reducing downtime.

Automatic grease relief fittings maintain optimal lubrication, preventing over-greasing, while the cast iron, diagonally split terminal box and stainless steel embossed nameplate ensure lasting resilience in corrosive conditions. Epoxy-coated hardware and exterior surfaces add further protection.

Designed for hazardous environments, the motor complies with Class I, Division 2 and Class II, Division 2 standards, offering operational safety in explosive atmospheres. It operates at exceptionally low vibration levels (0.06 IPS), which extends equipment life and improves system reliability.

Inverter-ready per NEMA MG1 Part 31, the SD100 IEEE841 series supports variable torque (20:1) and constant torque (20:1 for frames 140–360) on 2, 4, 6 pole motors, and constant torque (4:1) for all other configurations, making it ideal for controlled speed applications in process-critical industries.
