The Baldor Severe Duty XEX Motor is purpose-built for the most demanding industrial applications, combining rugged construction with energy-efficient performance. With Super-E® Premium efficiency, these motors help reduce operational costs while providing unmatched reliability under tough conditions such as contamination, high humidity, vibration, and continuous duty cycles.

Available in horsepower ratings from 1 to 800 hp for foot-mounted configurations and up to 200 hp for C-Face models, this series spans NEMA frame sizes 143T to 588. The entire motor features all-cast iron construction—frame, endplates, conduit box, and fan cover—ensuring excellent mechanical strength and vibration resistance.

Protection ratings include IP55 for frames 143T–L449 and IP66 for larger 586–588 frames, making them well-suited for outdoor and washdown environments. A premium insulation system with Class F insulation and Class B temperature rise ensures thermal reliability, even under overload conditions. All motors come inverter-ready with full nameplate data, and regreasable bearings are standard across the range.

Certifications for hazardous locations include Division 2, Class I (Groups A, B, C, D) and Class II (Groups F, G), with T4 temperature code for the largest frames. Compatibility with ABB Smart Sensors adds advanced predictive maintenance capabilities.
