The coating system typically consists of three layers. The first layer is Fusion Bonded Epoxy (FBE), which bonds directly to the steel surface and provides primary corrosion protection. The second layer is an adhesive copolymer that bonds the epoxy layer to the polyethylene top layer. The third layer is a polyethylene outer coating, providing mechanical strength and additional protection against environmental damage.
