Handa Carbon Steel Welded Pipe – Seamless, Butt-Welded & Spiral-Welded

Handa’s Carbon Steel Welded Pipes are available in three manufacturing types: seamless, butt-welded, and spiral-welded, each offering unique performance advantages suited to various industrial applications.

Seamless Steel Pipes are produced from solid steel billets and offer a strength efficiency of 100%, making them ideal for high-pressure and heavy-duty applications. These pipes are typically available in single (16–20 ft) or double random lengths (35–40 ft for ≤2" OD).

Butt-Welded Pipes are formed by shaping heated steel plates and welding the abutting edges to form a continuous longitudinal seam. They offer uniform wall thickness and superior inspection capability prior to welding. With an ANSI-assigned strength factor of 85%, these pipes are suited for precision-driven, thin-walled applications requiring structural integrity.

Spiral-Welded Pipes are fabricated by spirally winding steel strips and welding the overlapping edges. These are ideal for long, low-pressure systems due to their cost-efficiency and extended length capabilities. However, with a strength factor of 60% per ANSI standards, they are not recommended for high-pressure use.

These carbon steel pipes are manufactured under the ANSI B31 Pressure Piping Code, ensuring adherence to stringent industry standards and quality controls. Applications include oil & gas transmission, water supply lines, structural support systems, and industrial fluid distribution.
