Description
BERGEN 113 MW Gas Power Plant – 2024
The BERGEN 113 MW Power Plant is a state-of-the-art gas-fired power generation facility developed in 2024 for utility-scale or large industrial energy demand. Powered by a suite of Bergen C-series high-efficiency turbocharged gas engines, the plant can be deployed in either simple cycle or combined cycle configurations, as well as optimized for combined heat and power (CHP) applications.
Designed to operate on natural gas with options for dual-fuel capability (natural gas and diesel), the power plant is capable of delivering up to 113 megawatts (MW) of gross electrical output. Configurable with 12, 16, or 20-cylinder engine arrangements, each unit is water-cooled and features intercooling systems for enhanced thermal efficiency. Fuel consumption ranges between 190–220 g/kWh depending on load conditions and ambient factors.
With electrical efficiencies of approximately 45–50% in simple cycle mode—and significantly higher in CHP or combined cycle configurations—the plant offers exceptional performance for industrial operations, utility-grade generation, or hybrid energy systems.
The electrical output is typically delivered at 11 kV or 15 kV, with synchronous or asynchronous generators depending on client preference. Emissions compliance meets the latest global standards, including EU Stage V and EPA Tier 4, ensuring environmentally responsible operations.
The plant incorporates brushless permanent magnet or static excitation systems, and includes protection up to IP23 or higher, ensuring reliable outdoor or modular deployment in a range of climatic conditions.
