Description

General Generator Set Data

This diesel generator set delivers a Prime Power Rating of 10kVA and a Standby Power Rating of 12.4kVA. It operates at a rated voltage of 400V, 3-phase, 50Hz, with a power factor of 0.8. The generator runs at a standard speed of 1500 rpm with a maximum overspeed limit of 2250 rpm. Voltage regulation is maintained within ±1%, and the total harmonic factor (THF) is kept under 3.5%. The telephone influence factor (TIF) is less than 50. Cooling air flow through the alternator is 0.06 cubic meters per second.

Engine Specifications

The generator is powered by a PERKINS 403A-11G1 diesel engine. This engine is a 3-cylinder, vertical in-line, 4-stroke unit, naturally aspirated and water-cooled. It uses mechanical governing of class G2 in accordance with ISO 8528-1. The engine has a compression ratio of 23:1, with a displacement of 1.131 liters, a bore of 77 mm, and a stroke of 81 mm. Fuel is delivered via direct injection, and the engine starts electrically using a 12V DC starter motor.
It is equipped with a dynamic charging alternator rated at 15A, 12V. Lubrication capacity is 5.1 liters, with a coolant capacity of 6.5 liters. Fuel consumption is approximately 2.5 liters per hour at 75% load and 3.4 liters per hour at full load.

Alternator Specifications

This generator set features either a Leroy Somer TAL-040-C or a Stamford PI044E brushless, synchronous alternator. It is a 4-pole alternator with six winding leads and a single bearing construction. The alternator has an insulation class of H, with a temperature rise of 125°C at 40°C ambient temperature. It carries an ingress protection rating of IP23.
The alternator employs a self-excited system with an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR), model R120. It maintains voltage regulation within ±1% under steady-state conditions, and total harmonic distortion remains below 3.5%.

Performance Data

The generator operates at a frequency of 50Hz with a rated speed of 1500 rpm, capable of withstanding up to 2250 rpm overspeed. Voltage regulation is held within ±1%, total harmonic distortion is maintained under 3.5%, and the telephone influence factor is kept below 50.
The starting system is 12V DC electric, and the unit is designed to perform efficiently at ambient temperatures up to 40°C and altitudes up to 1000 meters without performance derating.

Control Panel and Protection

The control panel can be optionally fitted with Deep Sea, ComAp, or PLC-ATS controllers, providing full generator monitoring and control including voltage, frequency, current, engine parameters, protection functions, and automatic shutdown alarms. Optional features include automatic mains failure (AMF) capability, remote monitoring, and load management.

Mechanical Construction

The generator set is mounted on a heavy-duty steel base frame with anti-vibration mounts. The cooling system uses a radiator-type arrangement, suitable for up to 50°C ambient temperature.
The exhaust system includes an industrial-grade silencer to reduce operational noise. Optional configurations include soundproof or weatherproof canopies.
The fuel tank capacity is customizable based on project requirements.
