The ABB Solar Titan130 Generator is a compact, fuel-efficient hybrid power generation system designed for off-grid, industrial, and remote energy needs. Manufactured in 2018 by ABB Group, this unit combines a high-performance Cummins QSB7 diesel engine with integrated solar capability for fuel savings and emissions reduction in hybrid renewable energy systems.
Delivering 130 kW of continuous prime power and 143 kW of standby capacity, the generator is ideal for locations with inconsistent grid access or critical power demands. It features a turbocharged, aftercooled inline 6-cylinder diesel engine operating at either 1,500 RPM (50 Hz) or 1,800 RPM (60 Hz), depending on the application. Fuel efficiency is optimized with an electronic governing system and direct injection, resulting in a fuel consumption of just 30.5 L/hr at full load and 22.9 L/hr at 75% load.
The alternator (Stamford or Leroy-Somer) is brushless and permanent magnet excited, with an insulation class of H and protection class of IP23, making it reliable in rugged environments. Hybrid operation allows solar power to complement diesel output, reducing fuel use and environmental impact.
Equipped with a radiator-cooled closed-loop cooling system and optional seawater/freshwater heat exchanger, the unit is built for temperature extremes from -5°C to +50°C.
