The AQT-1650 is a high-capacity, 3-phase diesel generator engineered for demanding industrial and commercial power applications. Powered by the robust Perkins 4012-46TAG2A engine, this set delivers 1650 kVA prime power at 50 Hz (1320 kW) and 1669 kVA at 60 Hz (1329 kW). The 12-cylinder, V-form, 4-stroke engine is turbocharged and air-to-air aftercooled, offering superior fuel efficiency and performance in continuous-duty applications.
With a displacement of 45.842 liters and a compression ratio of 13:1, the engine is managed by an electronic governor conforming to ISO 8528 Part 1 Class G3 standards. The system operates at 1500 RPM for 50 Hz and 1800 RPM for 60 Hz output, with an overspeed threshold of 2250 RPM. It includes a 48A, 24V DC charging alternator and water-cooled system for thermal management.
This generator integrates either a Leroy Somer LSA50.2 L8 or Stamford PI734B alternator, both featuring 4 poles, 6 winding leads, single-bearing design, and Class H insulation. The alternator operates with AREP excitation and R450 automatic voltage regulator, ensuring precise ±0.5% voltage regulation and clean power with THF under 2% and TIF under 50. Cooling airflow is rated at 1.8 m³/sec, and ingress protection is IP23-rated.
