The Solar Mars 100 Gas Turbine, introduced in 2015, is a highly reliable and efficient industrial gas turbine engineered for power generation, mechanical drive, and cogeneration (CHP) applications. With a nominal output of 13.8 MW and peak power capabilities up to 15 MW, the Mars 100 is built around a single-shaft axial flow design, offering robust and flexible performance across demanding environments.
Its 14-stage axial-flow compressor ensures efficient air delivery, while the single-stage power turbine delivers smooth and consistent output. The combustion system features Dry Low Emissions (DLE) technology, minimizing NOx, CO, and unburned hydrocarbons (UHC) emissions to meet stringent international environmental regulations.
Optimized for natural gas as the primary fuel, with optional configurations for liquid fuels, the Mars 100 offers thermal efficiency of 34–36% at full load. The specific fuel consumption ranges between 0.33–0.35 lb/kWh (0.5–0.53 kg/kWh), and exhaust temperatures remain stable around 440°C, ideal for heat recovery systems in combined cycle or CHP applications.
The turbine integrates a digital electronic control system, allowing precise operation and seamless integration into existing plant-level automation and monitoring systems. Designed with a compact footprint, the Mars 100 is air-cooled and optimized for continuous duty, peaking, or standby operation.
