Description

NSW Y-Type Pipeline Strainer – Class 150 to 2500, WCB Body, SS316 Screen

The NSW Y-Type Strainer is a high-performance filtration device designed to protect downstream equipment by mechanically removing solids from flowing liquids, gases, or steam using a perforated or wire mesh straining element. This strainer is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including oil & gas, chemical processing, water treatment, power generation, and petrochemicals.

Fabricated with a robust WCB carbon steel body (with optional materials including CF8, CF8M, LCB, WC6, and exotic alloys like Monel or Hastelloy), the strainer is engineered to ASME B16.34 standards for high-pressure performance. The Y-pattern body configuration allows for low-pressure drop and efficient debris separation.

The strainer includes a removable screen constructed from SS304, SS316, or alloy materials like Duplex and Super Duplex, with custom mesh sizes available upon request. Designed for minimal maintenance and long service life, the unit is available with a blow-off connection for continuous or periodic cleaning.

End connections include RF, FF, RTJ flanges, as well as NPT, SW, and BW options. Fire-safe tested and conforming to NACE and ISO 15848 fugitive emission standards, the NSW Y-Strainer is ideal for use in corrosive and high-temperature environments.
