This is an 8" x 4" eccentric reducer designed and manufactured to meet stringent industry standards. Constructed from high-quality ASTM A420 Grade WPL6 seamless steel, this reducer is ideal for applications requiring corrosion resistance and durability. It conforms to ASME B16.9, is suitable for butt welding (BW), and is compliant with NACE MR0175/ISO 15156 for sour service environments.
Eccentric reducers are designed with one side aligned, which is beneficial for preventing air or vapor accumulation in pump suction lines or liquid accumulation in steam or gas lines. The flat side on the eccentric reducer needs to be installed on the top of the pipe to prevent accumulation of air or vapor. It is also important to install the flat side on the bottom of the pipe to prevent the liquid from accumulating.
