Description
NSW API 599 Plug Valve – Class 150 to 2500, NPS 2" to 60"
The NSW API 599 Plug Valve is a high-performance rotary shut-off valve used for controlling flow in diverse industries, including oil & gas, petrochemical, and water treatment. Available in sizes from NPS 2” to 60” and pressure classes from ANSI Class 150 to 2500, this valve is constructed to API 599 and API 6D standards for robust sealing and fire safety. The plug valve’s operation relies on a 90-degree rotation of a cylindrical or tapered plug, aligning or isolating internal passageways to start or stop flow. Valve designs include two-way, three-way, and four-way configurations. Plug styles offered are sleeved, pressure-balanced, or lubricated for enhanced sealing and reduced torque. Manufactured using high-quality cast or forged materials including stainless steel, carbon steel, duplex, and nickel alloys, these valves are suited for both corrosive and high-pressure service.
