NSW BS 1873 Cast Steel Globe Valve – Class 150–2500, WCB/CF8M Body

The NSW BS 1873 Cast Steel Globe Valve is a precision control valve engineered for throttling and isolation service in demanding fluid systems. Built to BS 1873 and ASME B16.34 standards, it is suitable for a wide range of industrial applications including offshore oil platforms, power plants, water systems, and chemical processing facilities.

This globe valve features a streamlined body with a double-flanged or butt weld connection, and is available in Class 150 to 2500 pressure ratings. Operation is offered via handwheel, bevel gear box, or electric actuator, depending on application needs.

Key design features include an anti-blowout stem for enhanced safety, silica sol investment casting for fine surface finish, and a pressure balance hole for smooth operation. An anti-static device at the valve seat and optional locking device enhance reliability and control. The valve is constructed from corrosion-resistant materials such as WCB, WC6, CF8M, and super duplex alloys (A995 4A/5A/6A), making it ideal for high-temperature and corrosive environments up to 550°C.
