The SA-10 Dual Balanced Weights accessory is designed for Bray’s Rite Series check valves to enhance disc responsiveness and flow control precision. This assembly includes two opposing weights — a cracking pressure weight that sets the pressure required to initiate valve opening, and a counterbalance weight that offsets the disc’s mass for smoother operation and improved shutoff timing.
By fine-tuning both weights, system operators can control how quickly the valve reacts to forward flow and how effectively it closes upon flow reversal. This setup is ideal for systems with low differential pressures, slow start-up flow, or where disc flutter must be minimized. The SA-10 helps ensure stable valve performance, reduced wear, and better protection against backflow or surge.
