Description
Choke Valve – Adjustable Flow Control, High-Pressure Service | Drilling & Production Applications
The Choke Valve is a vital flow control device engineered for precise regulation of fluid rates and pressure in drilling, well testing, production, and flowback operations. Designed to withstand harsh environments and erosive flow media, this valve ensures optimal performance and long-term reliability in both onshore and offshore conditions.
Constructed from high-strength materials such as Inconel, tungsten carbide, and stainless steel, the valve offers excellent corrosion and erosion resistance, even under extreme pressures and temperatures. It effectively prevents pressure surges and contributes to safe well control by adjusting flow rates during critical operations.
The adjustable orifice mechanism—manual or actuated—allows for fine control of production or injection flow, ensuring steady pressure regulation. The choke valve is available in positive or adjustable types, with needle, plug, or cage trim designs, and is often used in choke manifolds, wellheads, Christmas trees, and early production facilities.
