Description
Expanding Gate Valve – Bi-Directional Seal, Full Bore, High-Pressure Service
The Expanding Gate Valve is engineered for reliable and leak-proof performance in high-pressure and critical service conditions. Unlike standard slab gate valves, this model features an expanding gate mechanism, which consists of two gate segments that mechanically expand against the body seats to create a positive, mechanical seal—independent of line pressure.
This valve provides bi-directional sealing, ensuring flow can be stopped from either direction. The full bore eliminates flow restrictions, allowing for efficient fluid movement and easy pigging operations. Designed with a forged or cast steel body and metal-to-metal sealing surfaces, it ensures superior resistance to wear, temperature extremes, and pressure fluctuations.
Suitable for both drilling and production operations, the expanding gate valve is widely deployed in wellhead assemblies, manifolds, and flowlines where uncompromising shutoff and long service life are required.
