Handa Black Steel Pipes, also referred to as black iron pipes, are manufactured from uncoated steel that forms a protective black oxide scale during the forging process. This oxide layer gives the pipe its signature dark finish. To further prevent corrosion during transport and storage, each pipe is coated with protective oil.
These pipes are known for their strength, corrosion resistance, and minimal maintenance requirements, making them a reliable solution for a wide range of industrial applications. They are extensively used in gas distribution systems, boiler water circulation, steam piping, air transfer lines, and oil and petroleum pipeline systems. Additionally, they serve essential roles in water well infrastructure and non-potable sewage systems.
Handa black steel pipes are fabricated to support custom cutting, threading, and welding. While smaller diameters are typically threaded and joined using black malleable iron fittings, larger diameters are welded for added strength and flow integrity.
Note: Black steel pipes are not suitable for potable water systems due to the potential for rust contamination, and they are not recommended for drain, waste, or vent lines where corrosion resistance is critical.
